Andrew MacDonald, P.Eng., EIT – University Health Network

 

Andrew Macdonald is a native of Nova Scotia and a graduate of St. Marys University and Dalhousie University. He received his Bachelors of Engineering from Dalhousie in 2003. Since then Andrew has been employed with one of Canada’s largest healthcare organizations, University Health Network (UHN). The network operates three tertiary care hospitals, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital.

Based out of the corporate nursing group at UHN, Andrew fills an untraditional role using his background in Industrial Engineering to help improve hospital operations. His role includes projects to improve patient flow, staff workflow, patient safety and the overall use of hospital resources.
