James K. Valliant, P.Eng.
James Valliant graduated from Queen’s University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario.
Jamie joined General Electric in 1990 after being recruited into the Edison Engineering program. Working out of the GE Motors plant in Peterborough, he was assigned to various projects including the electromagnetic design of large induction and synchronous machines. In 1995, Jamie moved to GE Healthcare as the first Six Sigma Black Belt in Canada. After receiving his Black Belt certification, Jamie was promoted to the role of National CT Product Manager with overall responsibility for the sales and marketing of CAT scanners in Canada. In 2002, Jamie moved to GE Healthcare’s global headquarters in Milwaukee where he held several positions of increasing responsibility including Premium CT Marketing Manager, Americas Sales and Marketing Manager for the PET/CT and Radio-pharmacy business, and most recently as the Global Product Manager for Advanced CT Technology Programs.
In May 2007, Jamie returned to Canada after accepting the role of National Sales and Marketing Manager for Diagnostic Imaging, responsible for all imaging modalities including MR, CT, X-Ray, Molecular Imaging and Interventional products.
